DevOps Go-Live Checklist

The purpose of this section is to review the devops items that need to be considered for Go-Live. As a practice, I typically script these items prior to executing them 'for real' as much as is reasonable.

Perform push from Pristine to Test as normal

Update URLs accordingly yoursystem-prod.yourco.com, yoursystem-sand0.yourco.com, etc…
Note; do not reuse any test/pristine URL immediately after golive.
Update Pristine logo to SAND in big red letters
Update Pristine logo to yoursystem (production)
Update both servers' /opt/chuboe/idempiere…/utils/chuboe.properties to reflect IsTestEnv
Update backup to no longer create Pristine backups
Update backup to start creating Production backups
Update the Production DB Server => Security Group to no allow any connections except for app server and metabase. This ensures the test app server is not capable of writing to the production db.
Make sure machine names are updated accordingly
- /etc/hosts/
- ~/.bashrc => PS1
At the end each day for the first week, we will confirm backups are occurring as expected, and we will establish our monitoring protocol (check XMX, HD space, etc…).
